Mentoring

Many people returning from prison discover that building supportive and positive relationships is critically important in staying out of prison. As the song says, "Sometimes in our life, we all have pain, we all have sorrow...We're gonna need somebody to lean on." The following programs help you connect with a caring support system or community.

PROMISE RESOURCE NETWORK  – Promise Resource Network offers Peer Support Specialists to assist people with mental health and substance abuse challenges. To get connected, come in to the Recovery Hub located at 1041 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28205   or call  (980) 321-4021

CHANGED CHOICES – Changed Choices works with women from arrest through reentry. Typically, clients are selected while they are still incarcerated, either at the Mecklenburg County Jail or in prison.
