If you are just getting out of jail or prison or if you have a criminal record and need some support, you are in the right place!

We also intend for this website to be a way for people with criminal records to connect with each other, especially as we work together to identify and respond to gaps in the system.

If you know of a resource that is not listed here, please let us know!

The goal of this website is to help people who  have been in jail or prison to connect with the support and resources you need to thrive. While you may encounter some people who may not welcome you with open arms, know that there are many programs and individuals in the Charlotte area who really want to help you establish a healthy, productive life.

This website was created by Changed Choices with support from the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation and the Brumley Foundation. We are grateful to Toba Dowell and the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, the Asset Program, members of Reentry Partners of Mecklenburg and others who shared their time and resources with us. Sheryl Wilson compiled success stories as part of her capstone project for Queens University.
